This college was established in 1945 as a non-govt college. Then it was nationalized in 1980. The area of the college is 3.87 acres. There are six building and one female hostel in this college. At present there are about twenty thousand students here. Students are taught here from HSC to Master’s level including degree (pass) and B.A Honours. Honours and Master’s courses exist in fourteen subjects. The performance of the students in the exams is highly satisfactory
