Saikat Degree College was Stablished in 1993 with a view to educating the children of poor illiterate, neglected and deprived people of coastal belt areas. The college is situated at subarnachar upazilla in the district of Noakhali principal A.H.M Khairul Anam chowdhury, present chairman of subarnachar upazilla parishad is the founder of this college. The college got its recognition from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education comilla in 1993 and also got its affiliation from National University, Gazipur in 1997. The college has been being run by a group of young, able, efficient and experienced teachers from the very beginning of its establishment. It is quite politics free. The results of the college of the last few year are quite satisfactory. Now the college is running the following courses: HSC-Science, Humanities and Business studies. HSC(BM)-Computer Operation and Secretarial Science. (under Technical Education Board, Dhaka). Degree (pass): BA. BSS. and BBS. Total students: About 2,000( two Thousands). Cultural activities: The college runs it cultural activities regularly. It achieved the glory of being championship in volley Ball and Inter-college Athletics competition heldin 2011 organised by Comilla Board.
