Abdur Rashid talukder college was established in 1994 by the finance of Begum Jebunnessa and Kazi mahabub Ullah Janakalyan Trust and the college is named after the name of Abdur Rashid Talukder, the grandfather of Dr. Muhammad shahidullah, the former vice-Chancellor of the National University. The college is located at Dashmaina sadar Upazilla in the district of Patukahali. It is standing on five acress of land by a big canal that links with the Tatulia. There is a twelve feet wide concrete road in the west of the college. With a three storied complex there are five semi concrete houses in the college compound. There are seven different laboratories along with a computer Lab. At present there are studying about two thousand students in this college. Since its origin the college has been acquiring reputation through the satisfactory results of the different public examination. It is only one M.P.O affiliated college of Dashmina Upazilla. The college is enriched with different types of attractive plants. The look-out of the college is extremely charming. the people of Dashmina Upazilla are proud of the college
