Swarupkati college was established on 5th July 1965 as a Non govt.Intermediate college at Swarupkati Upazila in the district of Pirojpur. In 1969 B.A and B.Com courses were introduced here and B.Sc course was also introduced in 1979. The college was nationalized on 31 December in 1986. In 2012 Honours courses in three subjects( Bangla, English& Accounting) were introduced.The college is now going on with H.S.C ,Degree(pass)& Honours courses taking about 2,700 students and above 56 teaching staff.
