To immortalize the valiant martyrs of the liberation war of 1971 Shaheed Muktijodhya Mahabidyalaya is established in Tala Upazilla headquarter in 1994 with the sincere efforts of Mr. Shahidul Islam, a development organizer and Director of Uttaran with the assistance of the local people to build up the young Students as patriotic citizens enriched with the consciusness of the liberation war.
