In the post independence period the people , particularly the young people of Shashikar and the adjoining areas have established this college on 1st may, 1973 at Shashikar and memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives during the liberation war in 1971 with a view to imparting education among the children of the remote areas of Kalkini, Rajore, Gournadi and Kotwalipara.
