Madhupur college was established in 1972 in madhupur upazilla head quarter under Tangail district. Late Mohendra lal Bormon an educahonist and a social worker established the college. Madhupur is a historical place which is famous for Madhupur forest and ethnic Garo tribe. Literacy rate of the people of the area was poor. More over there was no college in the area. To provide the local people with higher secondary and higher education. The college was established which was the demand of the people and time. The college has been discharging its duties as per need of the common people.
