Bauphal college is one of the oldest Non-Government educational institutions in Barisal Division. It is one of the famous college of southern part in Bangladesh. It is located beside the Bauphal-Dumki highway in the town of Bauphal Upzila. It was established the then East Pakistan. Before establishing the college, there was no college to serve the growing number of student for higher education. To solve the problem, the then student leader of B.M. College sayed Ahammed along with some devoted and dedicated persons founded the college. M.A siddgue, the district Magistrate at that time inauguarated the college on july 1, 1966. It works under Barisal Board, National University and the Ministry of Education. In 1966, H.SC (Science, Arts, Commarce) course started here. Bachelor (B.A, B.B.S, B.SC) course started in ……………… . Honours (Bangla, Political Science, Sociology) course started in 2011. It is renowned home and abroad. The college is serving as a mentor of the nation. Bauphal college is flourished with a twostoryed administrative building, a three, storyed Acadamic building, a well furnished the storyed laboratory. A forr storyed under processing building a computer lab, A enriched library with 3000 books from home and abroad, A one-storyed principal quarter, a dormatory for teachers, a student hostel etc. There is a large college field in the front of the college. The are many trees around the field and the roads of the college. There is a one-storyed mosque in the college campus. The college is charmed by 57 teachers and Degree Enamination is satisfactory.
