The college was established as on intermediate one at Nazirpur Upazilla sador jn the district of Pirojpur in 1972 and was granted MPO in 1983. Then it was affiliated with the National University in 1987. The college possesses a good will regarding the increasing number of students and their performance . With that effect, it was rewarded as the best college at the national level in 2002. Besides, it occupied the 8th and 20th position in respect of HSC results in 2010 and 2012 under BISE, Barisal. The Honourse course was temporarily affiliated to the National University in the session 2012-13 and classes have been maintained accordingly since then. At preset it has gained name and fame as on outstanding college.
